Lucia

Background

Lucia has lived her whole life in Andorra Covenant, learning how to serve the magi (mainly by being a servant, cook, seamstress). She has always been a strong-headed girl, who wasn't shy about using her fists to back up her opinions. She has also always been a plain-looking girl (at best)…and being taunted for her mousy looks only gave her more opportunities to get better at beating people up.

In 1230, when Vibria showed up and Lucia heard how her "friends" were talking about her behind her back, she instinctively jumped to the maga's defence. It didn't hurt that Vibria was much more beautiful than she could ever hope to be. In fact…as the weeks went by and Lucia saw Vibria around the covenant, she started to realize something about herself, and found herself feeling about the maga the way other girls talked about boys.

Finally, she decided to take it upon herself to just show up at Vibria's sanctum and go to work, especially when she saw that no one else had taken the position of Vibria's servant and she was having to not only do her magic-y stuff but take care of herself also.

She worked for Vibria for a couple of years until the maga left Andorra, staying close by her side as much as she could, hoping in vain that that the maga would notice her. It gradually sank in that Vibria would never feel for her the way Lucia felt for Vibria. Luckily for her, that was about the time that she met the archer, Epona. The two hit it off and it wasn't long before they became friends. And then, so much more.

After Vibria left, the maga Fleur of Bonisagus took in Lucia as her chambermaid, and Epona as her shield grog, and she has been in Mallorca since.

Spring of 1236 found Epona pregnant, under circumstances that were never explained to Lucia's satisfaction. Although things were rough between them for a few weeks, they were able to mend their relationship. Their son Mayhew was born in Winter of 1237, they are closer than ever, and they are doing their best to raise him.
