Background

Petrus was taken in by the Cunfin covenant as an orphan, and given a job as a servant. Over the course of the next year, he proved himself both loyal and competant, and was accepted into martial training. By the time he was 18, he was a soldier in the covenant's guard. By the time he was 23, he was a corporal. Two years later, he was tapped to be a shield grog for Lucas de Mercere, a young magus just out of his gauntlet. He has served in that position for ten years. He is a pious man, having grown up in and around a monastery.
